As a crucial member of our team, the role of Director is multifaceted and pivotal to the success of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a nurturing environment for both children and staff. From supervising staff and implementing engaging activities to maintaining records and managing budgets, this role offers an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and their families. Key Responsibilities
- Employment and supervision of staff, including verifying references.
- Assist teachers in implementing weekly activities and maintaining a safe environment.
- Facilitate communication with parents and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with NC Daycare rules and regulations.
- Ensure business is compliant with state and federal labor laws.
- Ensure building remains in compliance with NC regulations.
- Maintain children's and staff records.
- Conduct fire evaluations monthly.
- Oversee playground safety inspections and paperwork.
- Manage curricula compliance and procurement of materials.
- Support staff through training and professional development.
- Handle budget, accounts, marketing, and parent communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Must be a level 3 or 4 Director in the State of NC
- Training in early childhood education from an accredited school.
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least twelve credit hours in early childhood education.
- Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- 2+ years of experience in childcare and child development.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and integrate various components of childcare programs.
