Key Responsibilities

• Employment and supervision of staff, including verifying references.
• Assist teachers in implementing weekly activities and maintaining a safe environment.
• Facilitate communication with parents and address any concerns.
• Ensure compliance with NC Daycare rules and regulations.
• Ensure business is compliant with state and federal labor laws.
• Ensure building remains in compliance with NC regulations.
• Maintain children's and staff records.
• Conduct fire evaluations monthly.
• Oversee playground safety inspections and paperwork.
• Manage curricula compliance and procurement of materials.
• Support staff through training and professional development.
• Handle budget, accounts, marketing, and parent communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 years
• Must be a level 3 or 4 Director in the State of NC
• Training in early childhood education from an accredited school.
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least twelve credit hours in early childhood education.
• Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of experience in childcare and child development.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and integrate various components of childcare programs.
