Position Description:

Our vaccine manufacturing operations area is seeking an Associate Production Technician.-This facility manufactures an oncology product and vaccine and is located in Durham, North Carolina.-These products are manufactured from a live, attenuated lyophilized bacterial suspension.

As an Associate Production Technician, this role will be an individual team contributor in the manufacturing of oncology and vaccine products in Durham, NC.-

Additional responsibilities are as follows:

• The position will be responsible for performing media formulations, sterile component preparation, process equipment operations, visual product inspections, and aseptic harvest/filling/sealing operations.-
  
• The individual will maximize the potential of the overall Operations team and contribute to a work environment that allows for progressive continuous improvement of skills and inclusive behavior norms.-
  
• Perform-production operation activities independently with limited coaching support.
  
• Complete daily work assignments and coordinates work with other team members.
  
• Competent execution of GMP documentation related to Production operations.
  
• Perform liquid media formulation activities.
  
• Execute sterile component preparation activities for aseptic operations.
  
• Perform visual inspection of product vials.
  
• Perform aseptic harvest/filling/sealing operation activities related to the manufacture of a parenteral biologic. -
  
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to government regulations through a demonstrated understanding of SOP's and a general knowledge of company policies/guidelines, safety/environmental regulations, and GMP's.
  
• Gain a working knowledge of the production process by becoming qualified to operate process equipment.
  
• Enter SAP transactions for process instruction sheets related to Production operations.
  
• Perform production operation activities independently with limited coaching support.
  

Education Minimum Requirement:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and within aseptic clean room environments.
  
• Demonstrated ability to successfully gown into aseptic manufacturing areas.
  
• Computer literacy in MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel.
  
• Strong team skills, including ability to work independently in teams, collaborate with others, and resolve conflict.
  
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple activities.
  
• Must be goal-oriented and able to manage risks.
  
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
  
• Must be able to work for extended hours to support manufacturing operations.
  
• Successful completion of TB titer and Chest X-ray are required. -
  
• This is a day shift position that requires weekends and some holidays.
