An experienced Infusion Pharmacist is needed to provide critical support to a pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This contract role offers the possibility of working 3-5 days per week with potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in home infusion, sterile compounding, and delivering clinical support in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders specifically for infusion therapies
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
- Ensure strict adherence to USP <797> and <800> standards for sterile compounding
- Provide clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
- Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow and enhance patient safety
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in North Carolina, in good standing
- Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
- Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques
- Thorough knowledge of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
- Ability to work independently while adapting quickly to a dynamic environment
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 to 5 days per week (specific days to be confirmed)
