  • Coordinate with HVAC Installers to ensure proper power availability and system readiness prior to commissioning.
  • Inspect existing electrical systems and make necessary upgrades to meet load, code, and safety requirements.
  • Verify proper amperage, voltage, and circuit protection for each installation.
  • Perform limited companion work including panel upgrades, generator tie-ins, and wiring for tankless water heaters as required.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to HVAC systems, thermostats, and control wiring.
  • Provide technical support to field installers and service teams regarding power or control circuit concerns.
  • Assist with customer call-backs or warranty evaluations involving electrical components.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and project managers regarding job progress, changes, or field conditions.

Safety, Compliance & Inspection

  • Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds NEC, state, and local codes.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, company, and local safety regulations at all times.
  • Conduct final quality and safety checks before project completion.
  • Document all completed work accurately, including photos, wiring diagrams, and compliance checklists.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of residential or light commercial electrical experience, preferably within HVAC, generator, or water heating systems.

  • North Carolina Electrical License (Limited, Intermediate, or Unlimited) required.

  • Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), grounding/bonding practices, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and load calculations.

  • Experience wiring inverter-driven and variable-speed systems (Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, etc.) a plus.

  • Familiarity with generator circuits, tankless water heater wiring, and panel service upgrades beneficial.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
