RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in progressive care unit (D2) on 2nd floor of main campus
• 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
• Focus on short stay patients with less than 24-hour length of stay and quick turnover
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 stretch depending on level of care
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Every other weekend required, no on-call responsibilities
• Work with telemetry equipment with all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when indicated
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• May be required to float to other units as needed
• Dress code requires navy and/or white top with navy bottom, or all white
• Must demonstrate positive attitude, patient experience focus, kindness, compassion, and strong teamwork skills
