Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant (Contract)

Location (City, State): Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Pay: $26–$29 per hour

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations. This individual will work closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO in a collaborative, fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working hands-on with transactional accounting while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Prepare and post journal entries, including high-volume transactional entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate cash records
• Assist with vendor setup and onboarding documentation
• Review and code credit card and other financial transactions
• Support month-end close activities and general ledger maintenance
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding financial matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with AP, AR, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Experience working within an ERP system (required)
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Comfortable working in an onsite environment

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Fully onsite role in Charlotte, NC
