BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Make Ready Technician to support a busy apartment community in Salisbury, NC. If you have experience in apartment maintenance, unit turns, and general repairs, this is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work with a respected property management partner.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in preparing apartment homes for new residents and can efficiently complete maintenance tasks while maintaining high-quality standards and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Make Ready Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Completing apartment unit turns and make-ready tasks
• Preparing units for move-ins through cleaning, repairs, painting, and touch-ups
• Performing basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
• Installing hardware, fixtures, and other apartment components
• Replacing light fixtures, faucets, door hardware, blinds, and other basic components
• Troubleshooting and assisting with appliance repairs
• Inspecting vacant units to ensure they meet move-in standards
• Maintaining safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment
• Removing debris and ensuring units are clean and presentable
• Communicating work progress and maintenance updates with onsite management and staff
• Assisting with additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Make Ready Technician or Maintenance Technician
• Strong general maintenance skills, including:
  • Basic electrical repair
  • Basic plumbing repair
  • Carpentry and hardware installation
  • Appliance troubleshooting
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Must provide and maintain their own basic tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
