FACP Support Teacher

Friendly Avenue Christian Preschool is a Christian, Reggio Emilia-Inspired Preschool who seeks a Support Teacher with a heart for providing a high-quality, hands-on-learning environment for toddlers and preschool children. • Support Teachers will assist our Lead Teachers with a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assist in routine care, and facilitate positive interactions for children.
• Support Teachers should be flexible, ready to help, and have great communication skills.
• Experience is preferred.
• Position is 9am - 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Must be of legal age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate positively with young children, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
• Effective and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community-based agencies.
• Must be a professing Christian.
• Demonstrate Christian values that support the goals and objectives of Friendly Ave Christian Preschool and Friendly Ave Baptist Church .

Physical Capabilities:

• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety.
• Spend time outdoors daily in all seasons of weather.
