Purpose and Impact:

The IT & Product Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT system administration, security management, software development, and IT strategy to ensure the seamless operation of company technology infrastructure. This role is pivotal in managing both IT systems and the Blue Horizon while ensuring successful vendor collaboration. Leading the internal and external technical teams, ensuring efficient troubleshooting, security compliance, and continuous system improvement. This position requires strong delegation skills, effectively balancing hands-on system oversight with vendor management to resolve software and hardware challenges.

What You’ll Do:

Essential Functions

• IT Systems Administration & Security Management: IT infrastructure, including Office 365, network security, servers, databases, and user access management. Ensures compliance with cybersecurity best practices, data integrity, and proactive risk mitigation. IT inventory, ensuring all hardware and software assets are properly tracked and maintained.

• Software Development & Product Management: Leads the development and enhancement of Blue Horizon. Manages a team of overseas software engineers and a project manager, ensuring development priorities align with business needs. Defines the product roadmap, overseeing software feature development, bug fixes, and system integrations while working with leadership to drive product improvements.

• IT Strategy & Vendor Management: Develops and implements IT policies, procedures, and technology roadmaps to support business growth. Manages IT vendor relationships, ensuring timely issue resolution while strategically leveraging external partners for system integrations and software troubleshooting. Oversee third-party software implementations and ensure seamless system interoperability.

• Team Leadership & Delegation: Directly supervise Help Desk Support Technician responsible for IT troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and inventory management. Leads an offshore software development team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Collaborates with all levels of the organization, from individual users to managers and leadership, ensuring IT solutions align with business needs and enhance operational efficiency.

• Process Improvement & Performance Monitoring: Establishes KPIs to track IT performance, system uptime, and software development efficiency. Continuously assesses technology needs and identifies areas for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction. Implements best practices to streamline IT operations and software management.

What you must have (Requirements and Qualifications):

• Education & Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in IT management, system administration, system integration, or software product management.

• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Office 365, Salesforce, QuickBooks, and software integrations. Strong experience with databases, system architecture, and cloud-based IT infrastructure. Familiarity with Angular-based applications and overseeing software product development is preferred.

• Management & Communication Skills: Proven ability to manage IT and development teams, delegate responsibilities, and collaborate across departments. Strong vendor management skills to ensure external partners provide timely and efficient resolutions. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic approach to IT operations.

• Ability to work in a collaborative, strategic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

• Effective management and interpersonal skills: empathetic, motivational, demonstrates high emotional intelligence, and communicates with ease

• Experience growing and developing a team in a solutions-oriented organization focusing on smarter solutions to drive efficient outcomes.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify, assess, and resolve IT issues quickly. Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize technology investments based on business needs.

• Skills in managing IT budgets, cost optimization, and forecasting.

• Ability to lead by example, demonstrating a good work ethic and proactive problem-solving skills

• Demonstrates proficiency in project management and software applications for facility management, including building management systems and project management tools

• Skilled in managing IT vendors, negotiating service agreements, and ensuring timely issue resolution.

• Proficiency in implementing and overseeing IT change control processes.

• Ability to maintain composure and make decisions under pressure, particularly during system outages, cybersecurity threats, or other crises

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Help Desk Support Technician (responsible for troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and IT inventory management).

• Project Manager for Software Development (direct report managing the offshore development team).

Overseas Software Engineers (indirect reports responsible for software development and enhancements).

Work environment:

Primarily office based with occasional remote work

Salary: Base plus bonus opportunities, based on skills and experience
