We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Circulation Department. This position plays an important role in ensuring a positive experience for our subscribers, and combines attentive, responsive customer service with a heavy focus on accurate, high-volume data entry. From updating subscribers records to resolving inquiries by phone and email, this position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to both independent work and team collaboration.

Position Duties:

· Answer incoming phone calls and emails

· Provide exceptional service to all customers by anticipating their needs and practicing empathy, patience, and good listening

· Open daily circulation mail

· Perform data entry related to subscriber records, address changes, and subscription processing

· Troubleshoot and resolve subscription issues, billing questions, and delivery concerns

· Support the circulation team with additional customer service-related tasks as needed

· Assist with special projects, reports, and seasonal campaigns

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in customer service and/or data entry preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn internal systems
• A resourceful thinker with patience and a passion for customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills
• Highly organized with superb attention to detail
• Self-starter; ability to work independently, but also fit into a strong team environment
• Familiarity with the Our State brand and the state of North Carolina

Additional Information:

· This is an on-site position based in our Greensboro office.

· This role involves sustained periods of data entry, so comfort with repetitive tasks and a high degree of focus is important.
