Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and launch of innovative products from concept through production. This role combines hands-on engineering with project leadership and offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products that meet customer, manufacturing, and business objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical product design, new product development (NPD), project management, and manufacturing within an industrial or automotive environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Product Development

• Lead product design and development from concept through production launch.

• Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

• Design and develop mechanical components including valves, fluid handling systems, electromechanical products, automotive components, or industrial equipment.

• Perform engineering analysis including:

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

  • Tolerance Stack Analysis

  • Thermal and Stress Analysis

  • Design of Experiments (DOE)

  • Root Cause Analysis

• Lead prototype builds, testing, validation, and product improvements.

• Support manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams during product launches.

Project Leadership

• Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through production.

• Develop project schedules, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.

• Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

• Facilitate design reviews, technical meetings, and project status updates.

• Drive projects to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

New Product Development

• Lead projects through a structured New Product Development (NPD) process.

• Develop DFMEA, DVP&R, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and product validation plans.

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

• Identify technical risks and implement effective solutions.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in product design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.

• Proven experience leading engineering projects from concept through production.

• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.

• Experience with engineering analysis tools including FEA and tolerance analysis.

• Experience with structured New Product Development (NPD) processes.

• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with valves, fluid handling products, pressure systems, automotive components, or industrial equipment.

• Experience with machined, cast, molded, and assembled products.

• PMP certification or demonstrated project leadership experience.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

• Experience supporting manufacturing launches and supplier development.
