Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Contract Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 call-offs per 13-week assignment
• Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720–$1,770 per week

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active state or compact licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Certification in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Experience providing respiratory therapy care to both adults and children in ICU settings
• Ability to float between similar units as needed
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam for compliance
• Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Maximum of 4 days requested time off (RTO); only 1 holiday approved
• Return staff policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• System has a 2-contract limit (can only extend once)

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy care to patients in a busy hospital and ICU setting
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care interventions for adult and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float between hospital units as needed to support clinical operations
• Document patient care using the Epic charting system
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Follow hospital policies, compliance, and safety standards
