Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary school in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position covers the Comprehensive School Year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the academic and social development of children.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students abilities and goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate a range of learning styles and needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Maintain accurate records and comply with special education regulations and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to student success
