Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Area Manager to oversee and grow a territory in the Charlotte, NC market.

 

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with franchisees, licensees, restaurant operators, and store personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to increase same-store food sales, profitability, and overall account performance.
  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new customer opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing business guidance, sales support, and operational recommendations to help customers maximize food product sales.
  • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and business reviews with current and prospective customers.
  • Analyze sales performance, customer data, technology reports, and market trends to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Develop action plans to achieve sales, growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Proactively identify at-risk accounts and implement strategies designed to prevent account attrition and store closures.
  • Introduce and support new food products, programs, technology solutions, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure customers understand and adhere to applicable franchise/license agreements, operating standards, product specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Train franchisees/licensees and restaurant staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, operating procedures, food safety, and applicable standards.
  • Keep customers informed about new products, promotions, sales initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor territory performance and provide accurate, timely sales and account performance reporting to leadership.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and business reviews related to new products, procedures, initiatives, and company goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and management to resolve customer issues and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Skills Required

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience preferred; 3–5 years of food industry, operations, sales, or related field experience strongly preferred.
  • Food distribution sales experience and/or restaurant or hospitality leadership experience preferred.
  • Franchise operations experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand business documents, product information, operating instructions, and product labels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM systems, databases, sales reporting platforms, or similar business technology.
  • Familiarity with web-based presentation and collaboration tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret sales data and identify business opportunities.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and analyze financial and sales information.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Rate

  • $30 - $60 per h our (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
