We operate North Asheville and South Asheville locations and a catering department. We are locally and independently owned, food quality driven, and well known for our fun and eclectic work environments and guest dining experience. SUMMARY

The Front of House Supervisor is a key leader in the restaurant, responsible for upholding the written standards while delivering on our cultural, financial, and quality measures of success. This role requires skillfully balancing the needs of guests, team members, and the community.

We are seeking rising hospitality leaders who are eager to grow, learn, and lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

While this position is listed for our North location, we are open to hiring at either location based on individual strengths and operational needs.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following and consistently demonstrate them on the floor:

  1. Leads shifts ensuring every guest receives an exceptional Taste the Love experience
  2. Demonstrates integrity, honesty, accountability, and a strong commitment to excellence
  3. Models a natural surplus of hospitality toward guests, team members, and vendors
  4. Leads by example and is trained and willing to work in all FOH positions
  5. Maintains in-depth knowledge of the menu, recipes, and processes and actively coaches team members to uphold standards
  6. Completes shift checklists thoroughly and consistently
  7. Assists with administrative tasks such as: bank runs, time punch approvals and uploading invoices
  8. Helps to ensure compliance with all ABC, Health Department, and safety regulations by maintaining exemplary cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
  9. Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  10. Supports recruiting, hiring, training, and ongoing coaching efforts
  11. Uses sound judgment, attention to detail, and continuous improvement to elevate the guest and team member experience
  12. Represents Luella’s positively within the community
  13. Enjoys working collaboratively and uses this role to intentionally develop leadership and management skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Prior successful experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
  2. Proficiency with POS systems and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
  3. Previous leadership, supervisory, or training experience preferred
  4. Working knowledge of front-of-house operations, cleanliness, and service standards
  5. Passion for hospitality, Southern food traditions, and consistent guest experiences

BENEFITS

  1. Hourly compensation based on experience; average starting rate $21–$23 per hour
  2. Full-Time (after 60 days): Dental, Vision, Medical Cost Sharing, Direct Primary Care, Short-Term Disability, Accident Insurance, Employee Assistance Program. Luella’s pays 60% of individual premiums
  3. Part-Time (after 60 days): Employee Assistance Program and Direct Primary Care. Luella’s pays 30% of individual premiums

PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to stand and remain on feet for extended periods
  2. Ability to walk, talk, hear, and maintain sustained mental and visual attention
  3. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands to handle tools or controls
  4. Ability to lift and move items including tables and cases of food and beverage; lift up to approximately 20 pounds overhead
  5. Ability to work in kitchens, dining rooms, patios, offices, and off-site catering venues (indoor and outdoor)
  6. Ability to work a flexible schedule including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
