Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1800 per week

Key Job Details – Oncology RN

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women’s Surgical (9th Floor, Building K)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/7/2025 – End: 3/8/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend days per schedule
• Dress Code: RNs – Navy, white, or a combination

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (Oncology nursing experience preferred)
• Chemo Certification preferred (not required)
• Strong teamwork and adaptability skills

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and women’s surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Cerner EMR
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and perform standard nursing procedures
• Assist with pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed (rarely required)
