I'm seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and management, with a proven ability to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. The main products are LEGO and LEGO related items, which includes buying and selling to members of the community. You do not need to have experience with LEGO, but must be interested enough to dive in to all of it's wonderful themes, creativity and customization!

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations (mostly during evenings and weekends), manage staff, and ensure that our store meets its financial goals while providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

Work with the Store manager to lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.

Manage inventory levels & inventory accuracy.

Oversee cash handling procedures, including cash register operations and daily reconciliations.

Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth store operations.

Maintain a clean and organized store environment that reflects brand standards.

Work with the Store Manager to train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster professional growth and development within the team.

Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and effective phone etiquette.

Analyze sales data to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement in retail sales performance.

Work with the Store Manager to complete the schedule to ensure we have enough staff to meet the needs of our customer and schedule requirements weekly.

Follow-up with team on performance wins, opportunities and goals.

Ensure regular and positive communication with me, the team and our customers!

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred.

Strong skills in inventory management and cash handling practices.

Proficiency in operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems.

Ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Experience with LEGO and LEGO related products is welcomed, but not required.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of store operations.

Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
