Processing and Glass Glazing Associate (Part-Time)

Door Tech, a leading provider of high-quality doors and related products, is seeking a dedicated Processing and Glass Glazing Associate to join our team in Lexington, NC.

As a Processing and Glass Glazing Associate, you will play an essential role in our manufacturing process by handling and glazing tempered safety glass for our storm doors. You will work with precision to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This part-time role is for two days per week, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and transport 25-30 pieces of tempered safety glass (each weighing up to 25 lbs.) for processing and glazing.
• Accurately measure and cut materials as needed for tempered safety glass installation.
• Apply glazing materials and securely fit tempered safety glass into aluminum door frames.
• Inspect tempered safety glass and frames for quality assurance, ensuring no defects or imperfections.
• Operate small hand tools and processing equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
• Assist with cross-training tasks in related manufacturing processes as needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Basic understanding of tape measurement and work orders.
• Proficiency in English for reading and understanding work instructions.
• Prior experience in glazing, tempered safety glass handling, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
