Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A tractor-trailers) in urban, suburban, and rural environments.

• On-Time Delivery: Transport and deliver freight to client locations, distribution centers, or manufacturing plants according to designated schedules.

• Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the tractor and trailer before and after each trip to ensure equipment safety and DOT compliance.

• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), delivery receipts, and trip reports in strict accordance with FMCSA/DOT regulations and company policies.

• Freight Handling: Oversee the secure loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring weight distribution is legal and freight is properly secured (chaining, strapping, or tarping as required by the specific role).

• Customer Service: Act as the face of the company during deliveries, maintaining professional and courteous interactions with clients, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.

The essential functions of this role include:
