Construction Coordinator

Role and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure specifications are met
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
- Serves as the company's inspector for project management and subcontracting progress, and delays.
- Understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
- Have a good working knowledge of all project documents, including specifications, plans, submittals, subcontracts, shop drawings, and any other project-specific documents.
- Excellent project management ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
- Maintain construction costs through effective bidding and negotiating costs with trade partners. Possess knowledge of unit costs, takeoffs, and estimating.
- Assist in the interpretation of contract plans, specifications, and construction plans.
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate and Construction terminology.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with hotel leadership to ensure projects are scheduled at the right time for the hotel so it does not interfere with the Overall Guest Experience.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in construction project management or related field preferred
- Minimum two years experience in construction project management/coordination
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Work Environment: Maya Support Center and job sites. Will be required to travel in state and out of state.
Job involves working:
Under variable temperature conditions (in exterior heat or cold).
Lift up to 55lbs.
Standing and sitting.
Indoors and Outdoors.
