Skills: - Med/Surg, MS/Tele - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Telemetry - remote monitoring - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams - Bowel obstruction management - Colostomy/Ileostomy management and care - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis management - Renal failure care - Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral line care and management - Phlebotomy - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Heparin administration - Insulin administration - PCA management - Chest tubes - Emerson/PleurEvac - BiPAP/CPAP management - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Nasal Cannula management - Non-invasive airway management - Oral suctioning - Oxygen administration - Isolation precautions/PPE - Wound care and management Description: The role involves providing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and performing necessary medical procedures. Nurses must manage various patient diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, and renal failure. Candidates should be competent in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with postoperative care is preferred, including post-cardiac surgery and post-angiogram. The ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team is essential. Candidates may be required to float to different units based on the needs of the healthcare facility. Flexibility in scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
