Carolina Recycled Ag Materials L.L.C. in Nashville, North Carolina is seeking to fill the position of Farm & Compost Technician . The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of heavy, motorized equipment used in composting and farm maintenance operations. Compensation DOE.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License, CDL license preferred
- Two years’ experience of farm work, actual heavy equipment operation and light maintenance experience preferred
- Reading, writing and math skills
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Adapt to frequent changes in climate, environment, workload and schedules
Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Operate heavy, motorized equipment used in compost operations, including but not limited to, wheel loader, mixer, and screener
- Gather and load compost onto trucks
- Operate and maintain windrow aeration/composting related equipment
- Maintain daily temperature of compost and prepare compost samples to send to laboratory
- Mow around property ditches/ponds with the use of a bush hog and ditch bank cutter
- Complete necessary department records on activities and operations; maintain accurate logs and records
