Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Associate IAM Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. This is a "fresher" friendly role designed for someone eager to build a career in Identity and Access Management (IAM) . You will focus on managing user identities, troubleshooting access issues, and supporting our Okta environment to ensure secure and seamless access for our global workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• User Lifecycle Management: Assist in the automated and manual onboarding, offboarding, and role changes (Joiner-Mover-Leaver) within Okta.
• Access Support: Act as the first point of contact for Okta-related issues, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) resets and Single Sign-On (SSO) troubleshooting.
• Application Integration: Help integrate new SaaS applications into the Okta dashboard using pre-built connectors.
• Group Management: Maintain and audit Okta groups and rules to ensure users have the correct level of access.
• Monitoring: Monitor Okta system logs for suspicious activity and report anomalies to the senior security team.

Technical Requirements & Skills

• Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts.
• Okta Familiarity: Exposure to the Okta platform (academic projects, internships, or self-study) is highly preferred.
• Directory Services: Basic understanding of Active Directory (AD) or LDAP.
• Networking Basics: Familiarity with how the web works ( DNS, and browsers).
• Security Mindset: A strong interest in cybersecurity and protecting digital identities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Interest in pursuing or currently holding an Okta Certified Professional or CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python or PowerShell is a plus for future automation tasks.

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving: Ability to break down technical issues and find logical solutions.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for documentation and user support.
• Trainability: A high desire to learn complex security protocols like SAML and OIDC on the job.
