Job Title: Senior PV Engineer

Job Summary:
The Senior PV Engineer plays a key role in the design and development of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems within the EBOS Engineering department. This position supports project delivery from concept to completion by preparing electrical designs, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring all work meets code and performance standards. The Senior PV Engineer also provides technical guidance to junior engineers and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective renewable energy solutions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Engineering and Design
- Develop electrical system designs, single-line diagrams, and detailed wiring layouts for utility-scale PV projects.
- Review and approve drawings, calculations, and documentation to confirm compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Evaluate equipment selections and configurations to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
- Support design improvements through the application of new methods, materials, and technology.
Project Support and Coordination
- Collaborate with sales, international, and project management teams to align technical requirements with project goals.
- Participate in feasibility studies and technical reviews to assess risk, cost, and schedule impacts.
- Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases to resolve technical issues as they arise.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers and designers.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Contribute to the development of internal design standards and quality control procedures.
C ompliance and Quality
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, specifications, and test results.
- Participate in regular design audits and peer reviews to maintain design integrity.
Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) system design.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and relevant PV design standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms
- Experience preparing and reviewing electrical design packages for construction.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
- NABCEP certification and experience with PVsyst or Helioscope preferred.

Physical Requirements/Travel Expectations
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to customer sites or project locations (approximately 10–20% travel).
