Responsibilities

  • As a versatile member of our kitchen team, your tasks will span across essential roles including line cook (sauté, fry station, biscuit build, point), prep cook , dishwasher , and biscuit maker.
  • Execute precise prep and food preparation tasks, strictly following established recipes to set the kitchen up for a successful shift.
  • Operate all line cook stations and kitchen equipment with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and assemble every order swiftly, ensuring each dish leaves the kitchen meeting Vicious Biscuit's high standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality by ensuring accurate portion control and actively mitigating waste.
  • Monitor food temperatures to ensure that all food is cooked to perfection before being served.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized kitchen workspace, whether you are managing the line, tackling prep , or operating the dish station.
  • Properly store and label all ingredients during prep to minimize waste and guarantee freshness.
  • Assist in kitchen inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying the management team of any shortages.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of kitchen waste and managing dish output.
  • Report any maintenance issues or kitchen equipment malfunctions directly to the management team.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow line cooks , prep cooks , and dishwashers to ensure smooth, high-volume kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to coordinate order timings and maintain a seamless flow of service from the kitchen to the guest.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Experience maintaining high food quality standards is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Food safety and alcohol certifications will be required within the first 30 days of employment; holding either certification at the time of hire is a plus.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
