The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, dealer performance, and brand presence throughout the Southeast and Gulf Coast territory. This position serves as the primary liaison between Parker Offshore and its dealer network, ensuring exceptional customer experience, strong dealer relationships, and successful execution of sales strategies. The Regional Sales Representative will collaborate closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to achieve territory sales objectives and expand market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed annual sales goals
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing dealers while identifying opportunities for network expansion
- Provide ongoing dealer support, training, coaching, and product knowledge to maximize sales performance
- Conduct regular dealership visits to evaluate operations, inventory levels, showroom presentation, and customer satisfaction
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to support promotions, product launches, and customer events
- Represent Parker Offshore at boat shows, dealer meetings, fishing tournaments, and industry events
- Assist dealers with inventory management, forecasting, and retail sales initiatives
- Ensure consistent brand representation and adherence to company standards throughout the territory
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and territory performance metrics
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, and business partners
- Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve revenue and growth objectives
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to identify market opportunities, analyze competitive trends, and develop effective sales strategies
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret sales data, forecasts, inventory reports, and market conditions
- Effective territory management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large geographic region
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address dealer and customer concerns professionally and effectively
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools
- Ability to conduct product demonstrations, dealer training programs, and customer presentations.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to represent Parker Boats professionally at trade shows, dealer meetings, and industry events
- Knowledge of the boating, marine, recreational, or outdoor products industry preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and customer needs in a fast-paced
- environment
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Marine Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of territory, regional, or national sales experience
- Marine industry, powersports, recreational vehicle, or related dealer channel sales experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage a large geographic territory and maintain strong customer relationships
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 75% of the time
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively by commercial airline, automobile, and other transportation methods
- Ability to remain away from home for extended periods due to travel requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during trade shows, dealer meetings, training sessions, and events
- Ability to board vessels, walk docks, marinas, manufacturing facilities, and dealership locations safely
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport promotional materials and displays up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs
- This is a safety-sensitive position
