Staff Accountant
Stone Mountain, GA | Full-Time | Salary: $65k - $75k

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and compliance with all financial practices in alignment with our business objectives. This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper and timely accounting and reporting for all financial transactions.

• Maintain the integrity of financial records in accordance with the companys business plan.

• Manage daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes.

• Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and supplemental reports.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and all balance sheet accounts.

• Reconcile all bank accounts with general ledger and supporting documentation.

• Support payroll processes and monitor payroll-related activity and compliance.

• Assist with accounts payable and cash disbursement operations.

• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.

• Prepare and deliver special reports and financial analysis as needed.

• Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and cost reports.

• Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• 3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting practices.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
