Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle moderately complex assignments, requiring judgment in problem-solving and making routine recommendations. This position involves creating patient profiles, ensuring accurate prescription processing, and updating referral status while maintaining communication with providers.
Responsibilities- Review referral contents to ensure complete and accurate information is received.
- Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.
- Conduct initial prescription checks to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
- Communicate with providers about referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.
- Update concise progress notes for quick assessment of referral status by other roles.
- Enter new provider information accurately into the system for business intelligence reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required and must be current.
- 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.
- Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Competency in basic computer skills.
- Ability to effectively work with people.
- Conscientious and detail-oriented.
- High School Diploma required.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable.
This is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
