Job Title: Retail – Automotive Technician Level I

Location: Mount Airy, NC
Employment Status: Full- Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM, Saturday 7:30AM - 12PM
The Truck Tire Service Technician is responsible for mounting, dismounting and balancing passenger and light truck tires as well as perform general services such as oil changes. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the shop area and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Mount and dismount new tires on passenger trucks and light duty trucks.
- Balance tires utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Mount and dismount new/used customer wheels from customer fleets.
- Responsible for various types of tire repairs.
- Keep service area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
- Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
- Must become (TIA) Certified.
- Communicate safety concerns and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately.
- Must meet Parrish Tire Company and North Carolina driving requirements prior to driving customer or company vehicles.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a service-related industry
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving history

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:
This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potential confined spaces.
