Dermatology Medical Receptionist - Morganton NC

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in/check-out process smoothly.
• Handle telephone inquiries and respond professionally to patient questions.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-ups efficiently.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain an orderly and inviting reception area to improve patient comfort.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and updating patient records.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate patient flow and enhance office operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical office administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is advantageous.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to support smooth office workflow.
