Senior Internal Auditor POST NUMBER: 464640

We are recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for a long standing and growth-oriented company in the Raleigh area. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments and business units.
• Oversee and mentor junior audit team members, providing direction and reviewing work for accuracy and quality.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls; identify gaps and develop actionable recommendations.
• Review adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare detailed audit documentation including testing workpapers, schedules, and audit findings.
• Draft audit reports summarizing issues, implications, and recommendations; present findings to stakeholders and department heads.
• Contribute to annual audit planning by identifying risk areas and helping define audit scope and objectives.
• Leverage data analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency and insight generation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant audit experience, public accounting experience is a plus
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as ACL, Alteryx, or Tableau.
• Clear, concise communication style with the ability to present complex information effectively across functions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple audits or tasks simultaneously.
