Position Overview
The Student Information Systems Associate at KIPP North Carolina supports the accuracy, functionality, and day-to-day operations of the Student Information System (Infinite Campus) across K–12 schools. Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, this role is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of student and staff data, supporting enrollment, registration, scheduling processes, and ensuring data practices align with KIPP NC policies and NCDPI requirements.
In this role, the Associate executes core SIS operations, conducts data quality checks, and supports reporting and compliance needs to ensure educators and school leaders have reliable and timely data to support school operations and student outcomes. Through close collaboration with the Regional Data Team, Directors of Operations, and school-based staff, the Associate helps streamline SIS workflows, strengthen system efficiency, and support equitable and high-quality data practices across the network.
This position requires strong technical attention to detail and a collaborative mindset, and provides a developmental pathway for building advanced SIS and state reporting expertise while contributing meaningfully to KIPP NC’s mission and regional operations.
Job Description
Student Information Systems Operations
- Accurately process and maintain student enrollment, withdrawal, re-enrollment, and student record updates in Infinite Campus in alignment with KIPP NC policies and NCDPI requirements.
- Support execution of enrollment and registration cycles, including Open Enrollment and Online Registration workflows.
- Support K–12 scheduling tasks in coordination with the Regional SIS Coordinator and school-based teams.
- Assist with beginning-of-year, first 20 days, and end-of-year SIS operational tasks.
- Assist newly onboarded staff with gaining access to the Student Information System (SIS)
- Serve as an operational support contact for school-based enrollment and operations staff regarding SIS questions.
- Generate enrollment and staffing reports as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional data operations meetings as assigned.
Data Quality and Compliance
- Conduct routine data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies and maintain system integrity.
- Validate data accuracy for operational and compliance reporting needs.
- Follow established data governance standards, naming conventions, and SIS procedures.
- Maintain data confidentiality and comply with FERPA and KIPP NC data security requirements.
Systems Improvement and Professional Development
- Document enrollment and student records workflows and contribute to SIS processing guides and playbooks.
- Identify recurring data quality or system issues and recommend process improvements.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of new SIS workflows, configurations, and enhancements.
- Participate in SIS training and professional learning to strengthen Infinite Campus and NCDPI reporting and compliance skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Role is Salary Band 1 and ranges from $50,000 - $60,000 based on years of relevant experience, educational attainment, and competency

Qualifications:
- PowerSchool Certification, InfiniteCampus Administrator, or NCSIS Microcredential preferred
- K-12 scheduling experience preferred
- Knowledge of NCDPI student accounting practices and regulations
- 1–3 years of experience in data management, including data entry, organization, and validation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Willingness to learn new software systems (training provided)
- Access to a stable remote work environment, including reliable internet
