Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid) . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data-driven applications to support Financial Crimes technology and collaborating with business partners to define and implement system requirements.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining complex data applications to support Financial Crimes technology initiatives.

• Writing and optimizing SQL/BTEQ scripts, developing Unix shell scripts, and working with tools like Teradata, TPT, Autosys, and Informatica IICS.

• Collaborating with business partners to gather requirements, refine user stories, and deliver data solutions through Agile methodologies.

• Building and automating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.

• Supporting production systems, managing platform upgrades, and ensuring adherence to change management and enterprise standards.

• Performing data analysis, performance tuning, and contributing to data modeling and provisioning for large-scale AML monitoring systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related software development roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with Teradata, SQL/BTEQ scripting, Unix shell scripting, and data analysis.

• Proven expertise in Agile development, CI/CD practices, and tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Informatica IICS.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
