We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based data services, ensuring adherence to database and storage best practices, and delivering robust operational support for cloud infrastructure and data platforms.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

· Design, deploy, and manage Azure data services including Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

· Optimize data storage, access, and performance across distributed systems.

· Experience of integrating Azure data services with Azure Databricks

· Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to ensure optimal data ingestion, transformation, and storage strategies.

Database Best Practices:

· Define and enforce standards for database design, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

· Implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.

· Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.

· Operational Support:

· Monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and data services using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

· Automate routine tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.

· Maintain clear documentation of architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

· 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 4 years focused on Microsoft Azure.

· Strong expertise in Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Factory).

· Experience with Azure Databricks Platform is preferred.

· Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools (Terraform, Azure CLI).

· Solid understanding of database administration, performance tuning, and security.

· Advanced proficiency in Terraform, Python, and PowerShell/Bash.

· Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Agile methodologies.

· Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices in cloud environments.
