Director of Banking Solutions

What is the opportunity?
The Director, Banking Solutions is a highly strategic and execution-focused role responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle, strategy, and distribution of all consumer and brokerage cash, deposit, and cash management solutions across RBC Wealth Management. This individual will drive product innovation and delivery through our advisor and client-facing digital channels, ensuring superior client experience, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the firm’s deposit-gathering goals.
What will you do?
Solution Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive solution strategy for all consumer and brokerage cash management products, including cash sweep programs, FDIC-insured deposit products, checking/cash management accounts, debit cards, and wire/money movement services.
- Lead the product delivery execution roadmap across all channels, translating complex business requirements into clear specifications for technology and operations teams.
- Drive the enhancement and innovation of digital cash management capabilities through both the client portal and advisor desktop.
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME), managing the product lifecycle from ideation and feature development through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
Product Management & Performance
- Manage the Product P&L (Profit & Loss) for the banking solutions suite, focusing on optimizing deposit mix, pricing, fees, and overall profitability (a strong plus).
- Conduct continuous competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for new cash products and service improvements in the high-net-worth (HNW) space.
- Oversee the advisor and client-facing channel strategy for product adoption, ensuring products are delivered and serviced efficiently and intuitively across digital platforms.
Compliance and Field Enablement
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all banking products and channel delivery methods adhere to regulatory requirements, including those related to deposit insurance (FDIC), funds availability, and money movement controls.
- Develop and deliver targeted training and communication materials to Financial Advisors and field support teams regarding new product releases, features, and policy updates.
- Partner with Operations to streamline back-office processes related to cash movements, checks, and debit card issuance/support, ensuring operational excellence.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in financial services, specifically in consumer banking, brokerage banking, or wealth management product management.
- Deep, hands-on experience with core consumer and brokerage banking products, including Cash Management Accounts (CMAs), checks, debit card programs, and money transfer services (e.g., wires, ACH).
- Proven experience in product delivery through digital channels (client portals, mobile apps, advisor platforms) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to define a product strategy and directly lead the cross-functional execution required to bring it to market.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate product vision and technical requirements to executive leadership, technology teams, and field advisory groups.
Nice-to-haves
- Direct experience managing a product P&L for a banking or deposit product line.
- Familiarity with the integration points between wealth management custody platforms and commercial banking services.
- Relevant professional certifications or advanced degrees (e.g., MBA).

The expected salary range for this particular position is $130,000-$210,000, (Minneapolis), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
