Full Job Description: Job Type - Full Time Location: Fayetteville, NC Provider Hours: Monday- Thursday: 7:30am-5pm Friday: 7:30am - 12pm No On Call Job Responsibility:- Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations
- Review patient's medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course
- Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients
- Performs daily patient rounds
- Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
- Interprets laboratory and test results
- Confers with physicians, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care
- Provides health education and counseling
- Must be willing to work independently and be responsible for your own caseload
- Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing or Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
- State license
- BLS certification
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of practice.
- 2-4 years of clinical work experience
- Must be compassionate and personable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff.
- Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional active listening skills
