Emergency Medicine Physician
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in a low-volume, rural critical access hospital setting. Position Highlights
- Start: April 2026
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days/nights)
- Volume: 25 patients per 24 hours ( 1/hr)
- Shifts: 10 per month
- Setting: Solo provider with APC support
- Full-scope Emergency Medicine
- Light inpatient (hospital medicine) coverage
- Swing bed rehab patients (2 3/day)
- Admissions, discharges, progress notes
- Low-volume, manageable pace
- High autonomy, independent practice
- Strong 24/7 support (lab, radiology, respiratory therapy)
- Short-term assignment with flexible scheduling
- Temporary privileges available
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Active ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS
- Hospital medicine and/or rural experience required
- Comfortable with solo coverage
