About This Role:

• Senior Commodity & Strategic Sourcing professional with significant experience. Develops and implements network, supplier selection, and negotiation strategy in support of organization's standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops strategies.
• Owns and develops elements of commodity and strategic sourcing strategy.
• Develops and implements supply chain strategies and develops networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
• Evaluates and selects suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of the supply.
• Establishes negotiation strategy for award contracts, specifying spending limits and qualified sources of supply.
• Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies.
• Directs analysis of suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to support business objectives, ensuring cost optimization / productivity, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals and compliance requirements.

Category Management:

• Manage the Sourced Finished Goods spend category for Fire Residential including Signaling spend
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Conduct Make v. Buy evaluations to understand best value.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Lead supplier negotiations, including contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
• Escalate critical items and support discussion with critical vendors.

Cost Savings and Value Creation:

• Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives, process improvements, and supplier partnerships.
• Drive initiatives to improve supply chain sustainability and resilience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with key internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, finance, and operations, to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of sourcing initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize data analytics to monitor spend, supplier performance, and market conditions.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on sourcing performance and cost savings.
• Publish dashboard on regular cadence to support operation discussion.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably in consumer retail sourced finished goods and signaling.
• 10+ years’ managing global supplier relationships and negotiating complex contracts.
• OR
• Master’s Degree.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably in consumer retail sourced finished goods and signaling.
• 7+ years’ managing global supplier relationships and negotiating complex contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of signaling technologies, electronics, or safety systems is a strong plus.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with both sourced finished goods and signaling.
• Expert to mastery knowledge obtained through advanced education, combined with experience.
• Effective strategic thinking skills to manage difficult and complex problems.
• Knowledge of related disciplines within work area and able to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs and systems.
• Strong communication skills that can flex to fit any platform, media, character count or audience.
• Organizational skills including strategic planning, time management, attention to detail.
• Analytical skills that help evaluate data to help us stay ahead.
• People skills that drive engagement and advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is $137,700.00 – $162,000.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
