Job Summary

Intrepid Build LLC, a leading woman-owned and veteran-owned Class A Commercial General Contractor, is hiring an experienced Licensed Commercial Electrician to serve as our Qualifying Agent . This position is based in Pittsboro, NC , and is a key role for our projects throughout the Triangle area, including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. We are looking for a skilled professional with an active or eligible NC Intermediate or Unlimited Electrical License to join our team, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety and NEC compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's primary Qualifying Agent for our North Carolina Electrical License.

• Perform hands-on electrical installation, repair, and maintenance on commercial and industrial projects .

• Manage projects and small crews as assigned, working with the Lead Foreman to meet deadlines.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for project layout.

• Assist with project estimating and material take-offs.

• Install and troubleshoot switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and conduit systems.

• Mentor and train junior electricians and apprentices on proper techniques and safety.

• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

Required Qualifications

• License: Must be eligible to hold a North Carolina Intermediate or Unlimited Electrical License and act as the company's Qualifying Agent.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical experience, with at least 2 years in commercial or industrial electrical work.

• Leadership: Proven experience in a Foreman or similar leadership capacity is highly valued.

• Skills: Expertise in conduit bending, blueprint reading, and knowledge of commercial electrical systems.

• Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
