A leading university medical center in Durham, NC is seeking a skilled and certified Mammography Technologist for an exciting contract assignment . Compensation:

• Travel Contract Rate : $2,000+ per week (based on 40-hour workweek)
• Local Contract Rate : $65/hour
• Schedule : 5x8 Day Shift (Monday–Friday)

Position Details & Responsibilities:

As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality breast imaging and patient-centered care. You’ll work closely with a team of radiologists, technologists, and support staff in a fast-paced academic medical center.

Job Duties:

• Perform 2D and 3D screening and diagnostic mammograms using state-of-the-art imaging equipment
• Ensure image quality and patient safety in accordance with FDA, ACR, and MQSA standards
• Position patients correctly and comfortably while explaining procedures clearly
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the facility's PACS/RIS systems
• Assist radiologists during special procedures such as breast biopsies or needle localizations
• Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance policies
• Collaborate with other imaging departments and clinical staff as needed

Mammography Technologist Requirements:

• ARRT (M) – Advanced Certification in Mammography (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in mammography (Required)
