Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to set up and operate CNC press brakes to bend, shape, and form metal sheets according to strict blueprints and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for quality, a solid understanding of metal fabrication, and a commitment to shop safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf) to perform precision bending on various gauges of sheet metal.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols to determine correct bend sequences, tooling requirements, and dimensions.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and height gauges to ensure precise adherence to tolerances.

• Tooling & Maintenance: Select, install, and change out dies and tooling according to material thickness and bend radius. Perform basic machine maintenance.

• Material Handling: Safely load and unload materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or manual lifting as required.

• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating CNC Press Brakes in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills: strong ability to read blueprints and a solid understanding of sheet metal bend allowances and deductions.

• Measurement: Proficient in using standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and stand for extended periods.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; technical certifications in welding or fabrication are a plus.
