Assembly Technician
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering and brazing equipment.
- Assembles and tests valves and/or valve components using machinery or jigs and fixtures.
- Utilize and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals, using tape measure and other measuring devices to ensure specifications are met.
- Understand electrical systems, circuits and plans.
- Prepare, assemble, and connect conduits and wiring.
- Perform functional product tests, both electrical and pressure.
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to correct angle.
- Package product.
- Maintain quality and production records.
- Participate in problem solving, training and Kaizen activities.
- Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or a combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing of assembled parts.
- Must be able to size and install wiring systems.
- Must be able to identify specified parts to build the product.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and mechanical hand tools.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

- Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
