Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

   My client, located in Hickory, North Carolina, is looking for Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join its team. This person will be responsible for the month-end closing coordination and supervising the accounts of the Accounts Payable Department. Requires strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead a team. Collaboration is a must. Excellent benefits package included. This is an onsite position, no remote work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of Finance or Accounting experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an Analyst.
• Supervisory experience within Accounts Payable procedures preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing (Upholstery Furniture Preferred).
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Strong organizational skills a must
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must possess strong adaptability and good collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Efficient work pace and decision-making skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist Management in understanding and controlling expenditure through ongoing review and analysis of financial statements, expense budgets, and analytical reports
• Perform financial analysis on new products, marketing programs, or promotions.
• Coordinate month-end closing process by positioning journal entries, making journal entries, running allocations, monitoring closing schedule, and coordinating production of financial reports.
• Supervision of Accounts Payable and payroll department (3 people).
• Reviewing Accounts Payable batches and check runs.
• Facilitate communication and understanding through regular reports and meetings for management.
• Develop financial models, reports, and data files for the business.
• Financial, Capital, and strategic planning
• Act as a business analyst for sales, marketing, and development functional areas.
• Act as a facilitator in developing accurate and equitable monitoring methodologies.
