Passenger Rail Electrical Panel & Wiring Harness Assembler
Passenger Rail Electrical Panel & Wiring Harness Assembler
What if your next build helped millions get to where they’re going—safely and on time?
At Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock facility in Lexington, North Carolina, you’ll help engineer the future of passenger rail. For over 160 years, Siemens has advanced U.S. infrastructure, electrification, and transportation. Today, by fusing automation with digital tools, we’re redefining reliability, punctuality, safety, and sustainability for rail systems across North America.
Your impact
Picture yourself stepping onto the line and owning key subassemblies that bring a passenger coach to life. One hour you’re routing a harness; the next you’re validating a control rack against drawings—each step critical to a train that will run for decades.
Key responsibilities
- Build and integrate assemblies within passenger coaches: roofs, cable harnesses, mounted components, electrical racks and panels, as well as air supply racks and piping.
- Perform precision wiring: connect component leads to other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points; measure and cut wire; route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach to terminal points.
- Handle rework cycles: disassemble, modify, refurbish, and reassemble to spec.
- Turn drawings into deliverables using production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical/electro-mechanical subassemblies.
- Apply excellent fine-motor dexterity with small parts.
