Position Summary:
The Logistics Track and Trace Analyst will perform tracking of both domestic and international shipments. Will be responsible for ensuring purchase orders are shipped on time to one of our DC campuses. This position interacts with individuals at many levels of the organization and will work both independently and in conjunction with other internal and external stakeholders. Performs key functions that directly impact our DCs. Actively supports initiatives, projects, and strategies with focus on on-going performance improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the track & trace of inbound freight shipments from multiple vendor distribution centers to Burlington's DC campuses.
- Build partnerships with merchandise vendors, domestic carriers, and DC locations to ensure timely pick up & deliveries.
- Assist merchants by providing support and analysis as needed regarding the whereabouts of their merchandise.
- Communicate opportunities and take actions to maintain/improve overall service.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgement throughout daily operations and escalates issues that may cause delays in shipments.
- Communicate critical information to internal and external partners in clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Proactively identify problems and implement the appropriate solutions; ability to make real time decisions with little guidance.
- Anticipate potential operational issues to mitigate performance failures.
- Analyze and monitor vendor performance. Ability to understand & manage data reports while owning performance metrics that drive business results.
- Compile and present data analysis to management or merchants; measure performance criteria for all carriers and vendors as needed.
- Prioritizes tasks and workload to focus on issues that directly impact business and performance.
- Responsible for coordinating, preparing and driving recap meetings in PowerPoint and Excel with all levels of our merchant and leadership teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key personnel with their vendor community. Hold meetings via phone or teams to review any issues or concerns, or to coordinate timely shipments.
- Recap KPI and scorecards while discussing opportunities for improvement as needed
- Flexible work schedule that may be required during peak season for non-standard work hours
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Logistics and/or Supply Chain related experience.
- Ability to interact with all levels, vendors, carriers, 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint needed.
- College degree preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills.
- Must have goodorganization and time management skills.
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
- Great goal-setting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
