Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner/Family)
- Provide direct and comprehensive primary, preventative and therapeutic medical and nursing care to patients with progressively more difficult or unusual problems.
- Analyze and interpret patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Order developmental and laboratory tests as necessary to assure an accurate diagnosis.
- Interpret test results discriminating between normal and abnormal findings.
- Prescribe drugs to treat specific illnesses.
- Instruct patient and families regarding the treatment plan and any follow-up required.
- Must possess at least a master's degree in nursing and provides and coordinates patient care in primary or specialty healthcare. Withing the category of APRNs are specialty areas that include nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, and clinical nurse specialists.
- Must be licensed or registered by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least three full years of professional nursing experience.

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
