Target Pay Rate: $100–$115/hour (based on experience)
The Director, Mass Premium Kitchen Portfolio will lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of North America's Mass Premium kitchen appliance portfolio across Food Preservation, Food Preparation, and Dish Care. This role is accountable for building and executing a differentiated mass premium portfolio that delivers on the evolving needs of the mass premium appliance consumer while driving profitable business growth.
This leader will own full P&L responsibility, lead a highly matrixed cross-functional team, and partner closely with Product Line Management, Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Design, and Operations to deliver compelling products, launch excellence, and consumer and designer advocacy. The role will also establish the foundational capabilities required to win in the mass premium space, including premium sales enablement, training, and designer engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio & P&L LeadershipOwn full P&L responsibility for the Mass Premium portfolio, including revenue, margin, investment decisions, and long-term financial performance.
Define and execute a multi-year mass premium portfolio strategy spanning Food Preservation, Food Preparation, and Dish Care.
Ensure portfolio decisions align with enterprise growth objectives and clearly articulated consumer and channel value propositions.
Lead and align a cross-functional team across Product Line Management, Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Design, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver portfolio objectives.
Partner closely with Product Line teams to ensure product features, performance, quality, and cost structures meet the needs and expectations of the mass premium consumer.
Serve as the single point of accountability to ensure strategy translates into executable plans and market success.
Partner with Consumer Insights to deeply understand the mass premium consumer and translate insights into a clear, prioritized product roadmap.
Ensure product innovation delivers meaningful differentiation, premium value perception, and strong whitespace opportunities.
Balance consumer desirability, technical feasibility, and financial viability across the portfolio.
Partner closely with the Design team to ensure industrial design, finishes, and user experiences resonate with mass premium consumers and designers.
Consult on design-to-cost discipline, optimizing trade-offs between aesthetics, performance, and profitability while maintaining a premium brand expression.
Lead commercial product launches in partnership with Sales and Marketing, ensuring disciplined execution of go-to-market plans.
Utilize Challenger methodology to develop differentiated selling stories, value propositions, and customer engagement strategies.
Partner with Marketing to develop compelling sales materials, launch assets, and activation plans that generate excitement, confidence, and advocacy.
Oversee launch readiness, customer alignment, and post-launch performance tracking.
Ensure implementation of integrated marketing programs that build consumer and designer awareness of the company's mass premium positioning.
Lead efforts to establish a premium sales and training capability, equipping internal teams with the knowledge and tools required to win in premium-adjacent channels.
Drive the development of designer engagement programs, including tools, education, and incentives that enable designers to confidently recommend the company's mass premium products to their clients.
Develop showroom vision and merchandising standards, including premium product displays and flooring requirements.
Lead and develop a dedicated Project Manager responsible for ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Track progress against financial, commercial, and operational plans, proactively addressing risks and gaps.
Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, launch readiness, and strategic progress to senior leadership.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, general management, portfolio strategy, or commercial leadership, preferably within consumer durables or premium consumer goods.
Proven experience with P&L ownership and accountability for multi-category portfolios.
Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional organizations in a matrixed environment.
Strong background in product commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and launch execution.
Experience working directly with Consumer Insights and Design teams to translate insights into commercially successful products.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Experience with or working knowledge of Challenger selling methodologies preferred.
Passion for building brands, elevating the consumer experience, and delivering profitable growth.
