Recore Electrical Contractors is seeking a Warehouse Manager for its West Gastonia, NC campus.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations for Recore Electrical Contractors. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, safe operations, and timely support of field crews and project needs. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in maintaining organization, minimizing material loss, and ensuring job-ready materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of electrical materials and equipment
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized for quick retrieval
- Maintain clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant warehouse conditions
Inventory Management
- Track inventory levels of electrical components, tools, and equipment
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate with purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock
Material Coordination
- Stage materials for jobs and ensure timely delivery to job sites or field crews
- Coordinate material returns, transfers, and warranty items
- Communicate with project managers, foremen, and estimators regarding material needs and availability
- Purchase of electrical related items from local vendors
Tools & Equipment
- Oversee tool inventory, check-in/check-out processes, and maintenance schedules
- Track damaged, lost, or missing tools and recommend corrective actions
Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse staff and drivers (if applicable)
- Schedule drivers for pick up and deliveries
- Assign daily tasks, provide training, and enforce company policies
- Promote accountability, efficiency, and teamwork
Systems & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records using inventory management or ERP software
- Ensure packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documentation are completed and filed correctly
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, processes, and material flow
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus
- 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in electrical, construction, or industrial environments.
- Electrical fittings, devices and specialty item knowledge mandatory.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials (conduit, wire, fittings, panels, etc.)
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Relationship with local vendors a plus
- Valid driver’s license; forklift certification preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
Work Environment
- Industrial warehouse setting with occasional outdoor work
Exposure to electrical materials, heavy equipment, and forklifts
