Exciter Assembler 3rd Shift (Mon.-Fri. 12:00 am - 8:00 am)
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components for exciter units according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Set up and operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment to build and process parts.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all assembly tasks.
- Perform in-process inspection of parts and assemblies using measurement tools like calipers to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of Exciter assembly or equipment issues, applying standard procedures to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate production records and perform necessary data entry for manufacturing performance analysis.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational or technical training in a mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production assembly environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprint, schematics, or technical work instructions.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
