**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**Provides leadership, which facilitates the delivery of air medical and ground transport care for the comfort and well being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, and document care and teaching of patients. Performs time critical advanced life support patient care and management.**
+ **Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.**
+ **Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing**
+ **Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. National Nursing Certification in area of specialty**
+ **Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider; ACLS; PALS or PEPP or ENPC; ITLS or PHTLS or TNCC**
+ **Must have a valid NC driver's license or procure one within 30 days of employment (if out-of-state commuter must have valid driver's license in the documented state of residence) Must have at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and possess ability to meet the established insurance guidelines for Mission Health System.**
+ **Preferred License/Certifications: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, CPRN, North Carolina Paramedic, South Carolina Paramedic, Nationally Registry Paramedic, CCEMT-P, PNCCT.**
+ **Certificate: NRP**
+ **Required Experience: Minimum FIVE years full time Emergency Room and/or Critical Care.**
+ **Preferred Experience: Five years full time Emergency Room AND Critical Care. Previous supervisory, public speaking and teaching experience.**
